Beaded Tree Card

Is it going to rain or not? That seems to be the question of the day. Do we head out to do some bird watching or stay home and watch the rain fall? Decisions, decisions. The weather network is not much help. It seems to change every hour and two parks, along the same lake, about an hour's drive away are showing totally different weather patterns. Odd to say the least.

So, while we decide what to do I thought I may as well share a card that I made last night. This one is from a sketch from the "Always playing with Paper blog" who's only rule is to make a Christmas card.

Raided the stash bin again for this one!  Someone gave me a bunch of old greeting cards to see if I could re-use any of them - which I did. I truly believe in recycling and I like to die cut out the sentiments from the inside of the cards and re-using them...better then having them in the garbage. This beaded tree was on one of them so I removed it. I die cut a Spellbinder's oval in white cardstock to mount it on and then I cut by hand a piece of silver paper around the outside of the same die to get only a slightly larger oval. The next size oval in the die set was too large. After running the dark blue piece of cardstock thru a Cuttlebug folder, Swiss Dots, I mounted it on another piece of silver. The silver strip of snowflakes was punched from a EK Success punch.

I have a few packages of hole-less beads that I seldom use but I do believe I will be making some more of these beaded trees for other cards, in a variety of colours.
