Two Similar Cards

Another day, another thunderstorm….and more on the way. We just cannot seem to have two or three nice days in a row this summer…..but we have been having two or three rainy days in a row.

I recently made two cards almost the same but with different sentiments…..and I may do this more often!

Here is the birthday card.

The flowers were a free download from the Internet that were coloured and cut out. Stickles were added to the centres. All the paper is from my stash – as usual! Luckily I had some purple cardstock to match the purple card base and some designer paper with small purple flowers on it. The labels were die cut with a Spellbinder’s fancy rectangle die and glued together. First I stamped the sentiment and then I glued on the flowers and leaves. Then the little flower stamp was added to fill in some blank spaces.

And here it is as an Anniversary card.

This time I went with a light purple card base and used the same cardstock as the inner fancy rectangle. Other than that, the card was made the same way. I think I like the birthday version a bit better but this one is more subtle so suitable for an anniversary.
