The Cat in the Hat

This picture of my one and only granddaughter, Kadri, really brings back memories. She is now in college! How did that happen so quickly! Anyway, she decided she wanted to be the Cat in the Hat for Halloween one year. This is what I came up with.

The cat body was easy to make. It was the hat that gave me problems. I used heavy felt but it kept flopping down so I ended up fusing interfacing to the inside, after it was made. Not pretty on the inside but no one looks there anyway - and it worked!
