October Calendar

This is my October calendar picture. I posted last month about how I like these wooden calendars but I didn't want the same picture each month. My daughter's father-in-law made this one for me. I cut out small thin sheets of wood and painted one for each month instead of painting right on the calendar itself. This time I used the pen and ink technique. Each item was outlined with pen and then watered down acrylic paint was used to paint each one which gives it a bit of a softer look. I chose this picture because October is our Canadian Thanksgiving which centres on being thankful for a bountiful harvest.
