Let it Snow

It’s January and I’m posting a Christmas card! I really liked the fact that I made Christmas cards all last year and come December I had pretty much all I needed, except special ones I make for my grandchildren. This idea came from the blog,   (http://alwaysplayingwithpaper.blogspot.ca)  and she calls it Merry Monday. There are only two rules, one is to make a card based on either a sketch or colour combination, etc and the other is to make it a Christmas card. Last year it was always a sketch but this year she is rotating the challenges. The first challenge was to make a Christmas card using light teal, teal and red. This is what I came up with.

 

I also picked a sketch from another blog, http://mojomonday.blogspot.ca, and actually followed – almost. I added the round sentiment at the bottom. They may reject it but I just thought it needed something there. The polka dot paper is part of a piece a friend gave me so no idea who made it and I de believe the red came from one of the dollar stores and the light teal is just left over from some paper I bought at the Paper Pickle. The stamp is from Hot Off the Press and so is the sentiment. They came together along with a couple of small stamps for .99. Love these small .99 stamps. The snowman was coloured with Tombow markers.
