37C (98.6F)! That's the expected temperature for today - and pretty much the next week as well. Hot and humid weather usually means two things happen - 1) a thunderstorm will occur and 2) it will trigger off my brain disorder spasms which affect my speech...funny but annoying...and sometimes painful! However, these too shall pass. I just keep repeating my motto: "Every day this side of the dirt is a good one"!
Today's card is another one that was coloured with just coloured pencils...because I had no choice that's why! Another stamp that I rented (with a free-rental coupon likely) from the Paper Pickle and once again I stamped it a few times on plain paper, too close together to cut out with my Spellbinder dies. Here it is:
Love this stamp - great image. Once it was coloured I just cut around it leaving a white edge so it looks like a sticker. The background started out as a piece of heavy paper with the dots on it - won it so I don't know who makes it. I just spread out some distress inks and spritzed them with water and set the paper down into it...dried it...set it down again..repeat until you like the look of it. I quite often do this when I can't get inspired to do anything else and then I have some backgrounds ready to go. I saw it in my stash just thought it would make a nice background for this card. As I was looking for something else the E and the sentiment fell out of the folder I was holding and landed near the card. OK, that works! I just inked the edges and glued them down. The inside of the card says "Happy birthday to the fitness queen from the workout wonder". Fun card!
