Busy, busy day today. I'm determined to get these 12 quilts done for the Alzheimer Ward at a nearby nursing home. I have 3 completed, one 80% done and 8 tops done but not quilted yet. I need batting for 5 of them too. I should have had these done months ago but I couldn't quilt or sew for months because of my tennis elbow so I'm way behind. One of my Christmas presents last year was a book on doll making and it was in January the elbow started to bother me so I haven't done anything but drool over the book! This winter I will make a doll!
I sew and quilt during the day and then head down to the "lower studio" (aka the basement) after supper. The sewing room (or upper studio as I call it) is just a huge walk-in closet really and is right off the rec room where the TV is and I hate to sew if Joe is watching TV, even though he says it doesn't bother him, it must! So, I go down and make cards or scrapbook or paint so I do have a card to post today.
No colouring on this card. I stamped the image in black archival ink and then sponged several colours of Distress inks all around it and then added a more intense colour in the middle of the dandelion and then added some yellow Stickles. The lower right corner looked bare so I added a peel-and-stick corner treatment. It's mounted on green paper and then I die cut a strip of the same and set it beside it, and then added the gold thin line - also peel-and-stick. The background is from a 6" paper pack. A simple but very nice card.
Love your Dandelion Wishes card! I hope you have many happy sewing days ahead of you this winter. Hugs! deb
