New Stamps!

I’ve been so busy I almost forgot to post a card again. The weather had turned hot and humid and we have been out enjoying the summer days. Even though they predicted that with the humidex it would feel like 38C (100F) over the weekend, we knew at the lake and along the river it would be much cooler and it was. Of course, the week would not be complete without a thunderstorm and sure enough one rolled through yesterday afternoon. While it was raging we stopped in at a Michaels store in Sarnia and I got some wonderful clearance items. Within an hour the sun was back shining and we headed back to the Blue Water Bridge for a veggie burger and fresh cut fries. I’m not a big fan of French fries, especially not frozen ones – yuck, but you just can’t beat fresh cut French fries at the bridge.

This is Joe at the Blue Water Bridge from about a year ago. There is a long walkway along the water and we just love it there.

Today was the usual laundry and housework day and I got busy sorting out some photos and scrapbook pages and I forgot I hadn’t posted anything yet. So, here it is.

Last week I received my order from Paper Wishes. It was not a huge order but one of the stamp sets I wanted was the one with clocks. So, I cut and laid out some scraps into an appealing layout, inked the edges with brown in and then taped them together at the back. The two clocks and the sentiment were part of the Paper Wishes clock set. The old car was from a Tim Holtz set and the border under the car from yet another set. Once I had the pieces cut to fit together it was a pretty quick card to make.

Tomorrow is CANADA DAY! So, Happy Canada Day to all my Canadian readers. We normally go for a bike ride or BBQ with family but they are calling for severe thunderstorms, yes again, starting tonight and off and on all day tomorrow. I have a feeling it is going to be a crafty day for me instead.

Cheers
Violet
