I
took a week off from blogging while I was sick and I need to be retrained! It
was after 11:00 last night before I realized I hadn’t posted my card but it was
off to bed instead of posting. Today I thought I would post a card I made for
the challenge at Seize the Birthday blog.
I
love the different shades of orange on this card. It all started by die cutting
the large fancy rectangle from a Spellbinder’s die and stamping on the butterfly
(Inkadinkado stamp) and embossing it in black. The openings on the butterfly’s
wings were coloured with Tombow markers and then I added some colour to the
trail. It was okay but needed more bling so I added some clear gems here and
there on the trail and a large oval pearl for the butterfly body. Not sure what
company the sentiment came from but it was stamped and embossed as well. It
needed something along the side so I die cut the scalloped edge and then the
top one and glued them to the left side. I was going to add a bow but decided I
liked it just the way it was and quit. Sometimes more is just too much!
That’s
all for a Thursday. The dreaded virus or what ever it is I have refuses to
leave completely but is getting a bit better each day.
Cheers
Violet
So glad your feeling better Violet! I LOVE this card....that trail behind the butterfly is just amazing. And the bling you added was just the right touch. So glad you popped over for tea! Big Hugs! deb
