This has been a busy day so far and only going to get busier so
I thought I’d better take a few minutes to post my card. By the way, the long
wait in traffic yesterday was because they were moving a very large building….built
as an inn in 1880…to its new home location so it didn’t get torn down....which is great! We heard
they were moving a building but only heard the name of the road it was coming
from…not to where it was going! We must pay more attention to these things.
Today’s card is another water colour Christmas card.
First a piece of plain paper was torn and held down by removable
tape to create the snow drift….it doesn’t show well in the photo, but in real
life there are blue shadows to create the snow drift affect.
The sky background was then wet with plain water with a paint
brush and then water colour paint was added and blended. Once it was dry white
paint was splattered over it for the snow flakes. The tree stamp is from
Stampin’ Up – Serene Silhouettes – and the sentiment is from another word set.
The snowflake was die cut from left over water coloured paper with a
Spellbinder die. The shiny strings were wrapped around first and then the
snowflake was glued on top. I love making these cards....each sky turns out completely different.
That’s all for a typical windy fall day in Ontario .
Cheers
Violet
