Birds and Minks

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers, or those who are aunts, honourary aunts who fill in as mothers. It was a lovely sunny day here but at the lake there was a very cool wind blowing. Mother's Day is usually a great day to be out birding.....but the birds didn't get the memo this year as the migratory warblers are few and far between. We did get to see and photograph a few birds and then a mink. One of the birds is not normally seen in Ontario at all.....in fact, the White-Winged Dove is usually in the lower part of Florida so he is a long way from home!
