This
has been a great but busy day. This morning I froze peaches and then we went to
Rondeau Park for a 19.5km bike ride. It was
beautiful at the lake but when we got home, it was 78F in the house so the A/C
had to go back on. I almost forgot to post a card tonight. Tired!
My
cousin…second cousin???. The cousin line is so hard to figure out…anyway, his
father-in-law just died so I wanted to send them a sympathy card. The father-in-law was quite
elderly and in poor health for months. Here’s the one I made for them. I
believe this is a very old, out of stock, Stamping Bella stamp.
His
wife loves glitz and flowers so I didn’t want a dark brooding type of card. I
thought she would like this one more. The flowers were coloured with alcohol
pens….not Copics but imitation ones which is all I could afford….and they are
not as nice as Copics. I have 5 Copics but never bought any more. The blue
background is sponged on chalk. The stitched rectangle is by Elizabeth Crafts –
love the stitched dies.
The
background behind the layers is one of my own. It is many layers of ink; paint;
stencils; and stamps. I should photograph some of the whole sheets to show you
before they get cut up. I had so much fun making these! And I got to cover up
some very ugly 12x12 paper I would never use in a project.
Anyway,
back to the cad. The stitched oval is from a Stampin’ Up die and the sentiment
was embossed with white embossing powder. At the very end I decided it needed
sequins so I glued them on.
Cheers
Violet

Very beautiful Violet..... love the coloring... yep running the A/C today... kinda borderline as to whether we need it on today but it takes some of the humidity out of the air and that felt good... Hugs! deb
