There was no post yesterday because I was too tired to type. We decided it wasn’t that hot (29ºC which is 84ºF) and there was a light wind blowing at the lake so that should make it some what cooler so lets go for a bike ride……28km later it was YIKES, what were we thinking. We forgot to add in the humidex factor which made it feel more like 94F and the wind didn’t help one bit. By the time we got home, watered the garden and then fed us; did dishes and showered I was done in.
This evening’s post almost didn’t get made either. Hubby decided at 5:30 pm to start to cut the grass…he was going to be quick and then we would eat – almost three hours later he’s almost ready to jump in the shower and after that we can eat supper! Men!
But I am posting another Crazy Cat card.
The background paper is from the stash – just two pieces taped together at the back and then a gold peel-off strip down the seam. The cat was stamped on cheap water colour paper and coloured with water colour pencils and then blended with water. I stamp with Black Archival ink when doing water colouring; Prismacolor pencils colouring; and using my alcohol pens…which are my least favourite medium….but I don’t have Copics so maybe that’s why. The cupcake is a very old die set so not likely still available. Once the cupcake liner was die cut it looked blah so I inked the edges and stamped a graphic stamp from Stampin’ Up over it…irregularly on purpose…to give it some texture. The icing is shiny because it was covered with Rangers Pearl Stickles. The sentiment is a gold peel-off.

That’s all for another hot and humid day….and apparently it will be hotter tomorrow! Yuck!
