The sun is shining! Yay! But it’s still quite cold…below
freezing and will be for another day at least. We sure got dumped on with snow on Friday and Saturday and then yesterday we had some freezing rain although not as much as some areas
received. I cannot wait for winter to be over! The sidewalks and driveways are still a sheet of ice today.
Today’s card is another one made with the Blue
Bird of Happiness stamp from Art Impressions. If you missed the first one I
posted, please scroll back a few postings until you find it so you can compare
them.
This one was coloured with my usual pencils and
then blended with gamsol. I extended the branch so it went to the edge and then
added a die cut leaf. A Spellbinder’s rectangle die was used to cut it out and
it was then left in the die while I sponged on the ink. This leaves a nice
white border. If you happen to own the Sizzix (or from Stampin’ Up) Magnetic
Plate this is another good use for it. Place a piece of scrap paper on the
plate and then the image in the die on top. The die will stick to the magnetic
plate while you sponge on the ink and it will not shift.
The background paper is from the stash. The
sentiment is a stamp that co-ordinates with the bird so I bought it as well.
Love this stamp!
That’s all for a cold Monday, February 12, 2018.
Is anyone else watching the Olympics? Wish they were in our time zone but that’s
how the people in that part of the world feel, when it is in our time zone.
Fair is fair! I’ll be back on Wednesday with another post.
Cheers
Violet
