The Great Kiskadee and More

Today we had the pleasure of seeing and photographing the Great Kiskadee at Rondeau Provincial Park. This bird is from the southern part of Texas and Mexico and it is the first time it has ever been spotted in Canada. Here is a very, very short video of singing....before it takes off.

Here are some shots of it sitting in a tree along with some other birds we saw. It was a great birding day with great weather!

  1. I just love all your bird photos Violet! The ones of the Great Kiskadee are spectacular. You are a very talented photographer! I don't think i would have the patience to get some of the shots you get. :) I haven't looked at your video yet but i will and i want to look at the video on the previous post too. Big Hugs! Violet!
