It's a Heat Wave...and a Card

After a cold and rainy spring, summer has arrived with a vengeance. We are under a heat wave warning and a severe thunderstorm warning. I stepped outside this morning from our air conditioned house, which we do not keep very cold, out on to the front porch and my glasses fogged up! It feels close to 100F out there. We normally sit on the front porch in the afternoon, but not today.

I found this stamp on-line and printed it off but was never sure how to use it in a card. Then inspiration struck…….

The image was coloured with pencils and blended with gamsol. The background was sponged with chalk. I die cut it and the light blue cardstock with some Spellbinder’s rectangle dies and then mounted them on the blue striped card base. The sentiment was computer generated, printed and glued on. Then I die cut some feathers, added a real feather in, tied them together and glued them to the edge of the image. Overall I was pretty pleased with it.

That’s all for a hot and humid Friday, July 5, 2019. Have a wonderful safe and creative weekend all.

        Cheers

Violet

PS: To save a card to your Pinterest account, simply hover over the image until the ‘Pin It” symbol appears and then click…it sometimes take a few seconds. This will take you to your own Pinterest account to save the card.
