More Moose Cards

Very cool and overcast weather today. It was a good day to stay inside and get some quilting done. Our youngest grandson is turning 11 in May and I need to get this quilt finished for him.

We had a robin that decided at lunch time to land on the windowsill and then fly up the front window - over and over and over. I kept seeing its reflection and thinking it was another bird and wanted to chase it away. We tried everything to chase it away without any luck. Finally I taped large pieces of paper to the outside window and hopefully that will do the trick. It looks terrible but we had to do something.

I did to get some time in the lower studio (aka the basement) to work on some cards and finally finished turning those last three moose pictures into cards. So, the pictures are the same, just arranged in a different way with different embellishments.

This one was mounted on dark blue cardstock and then on to purple, and then onto a dark blue card base. The gold peel-off sentiment was glued to the fishtail banner and it was adhered with a dimensional glue strip.

I kept this card very simple. It was just mounted on a dark blue card base. A die cut open tree was die cut from the same dark blue and adhered along one side.

I had this 4” frame already die cut (Spellbinders) and never used it and I decided it was just the right colour on purple and it would pick up the purple in the picture. The sentiment is a large black peel-off.

I’m so glad I decided to use all these instead of sticking them in the stash.

That’s all for a cool and it will rain later... Wednesday, April 14, 2021.

 Cheers

Violet

PS: To save a card to your Pinterest account, simply hover over the image until the ‘Pin It” symbol appears and then click…it sometimes take a few seconds. This will take you to your own Pinterest account to save the card.
