It’s only the first week of September but today I started my Christmas cards! I should be making Halloween cards but I send out more Christmas cards than Halloween so I started with them. But, none are finished enough to post so I’m posting a card featuring a sunflower. Earlier this summer a lot of designers, like Gina K, sold a sunflower stamp with the proceeds going to Ukraine. I bought three of them. Here is one that is likely my favourite one….but I cannot remember which designer it came from….but it doesn’t matter, as the offer is gone now. However, any flower stamp or die would work.
I stamped and coloured the image and hand cut it….no dies for these. Then I die cut that doily in dark blue and glued the sunflower on it. The card base is 5.5” Kraft on to which I glued that plaid paper. Then I added the yellow cardstock strip flanked by gold peel-off scalloped strips. Then the doily was glued on and small light brown clear gems were glued on. The sentiment is a peel-off and is on a die cut banner from the same cardstock as the doily.
That’s all for a beautiful fall day. We went for our walk through the bush today and it was just what we needed.
Cheers
Violet
