Dutch Fold Card

Another beautiful day! The sun is shining and its 15 Celsius which is about 60F. We are having such a wonderful spring that its hard to believe its only April 4. April showers are suppose to bring May flowers but I have tulips blooming and the daffodils are about done so not sure what May flowers are going to still be around. Could be an interesting year.

Today I'm posting a card I made following directions from a tutorial on Split Coast Stampers. It's called a dutch fold card.

This is the front and it looks like an ordinary card but its not. The top part folds up and the circle is actually a latch and it opens to reveal the inside of the card. This is what you see when you open it up.

There are probably lots of instructions on how to do this on the Internet but I did follow the ones from Split Coast Stampers and it was actually pretty easy to do. The paper is from a 6" paper pack, again from the Paper Pickle. The bird is a Stampin' Bella stamp. Fun card to make. I think one made using this technique for kids would be a big hit.
