Usually on Mondays I post an Art Journal page. Not this week though. What with running to physio and visiting the sister-in-law in the hospital, I didn't have the time or the inclination to be very creative. I did get a few cards made though. Here's one of them.
I've made several cards with the Stampin' Bella stamp of the elderly couple sitting on a park bench but I decided it was time I made one for a younger couple. I picked up this small Inkadinkado stamp at Michael's (I think) for .99 and decided it would work well for what I had in mind. I stamped it on white cardstock and coloured it with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol, and added a bit of Stickles. Then I sponged on some yellow ink around the image and added the sentiment. After gluing the circles together I went to my old sewing machine a friend gave me for sewing on paper, and did a zig zag stitch around the edge. The card base came blue so I went with that colour. I found a piece of light blue and ran it thru the Cuttlebug with one of their embossing folders and then carefully sponged Distress Ink (Broken China) over the raised areas.
I repeated the zig zag stitch on the blue embossed piece. I pretty much followed the sketch from "Freshly Made Sketches" blog (http://www.freshlymadesketches.blogspot.ca/).
What a pretty image and your coloring is lovely! Glad you joined us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
