Long day today and I am whipped. I think I'm in need of some art therapy!
So, this will be a quick post.
This week's theme at Stampin' Bella was to make a card, using one of her stamps of course, that included flowers. I had no problem pulling out one of my favorite stamps.
This stamp is so great for a get well or birthday card, or even Mother's Day although, unfortunately, I do no longer have my mom with me and I do not make them. She's been gone for over 40 years but the pain of losing her is still too raw for me to make a Mother's Day card.
Anyway, I stamped it on Bella's Bestest paper and used my Prismacolor pencils and gamsol to colour it in. Then I added Flower Soft to centre of some flowers, flock to the round purple ones and Flower Soft and glitter to the blue stems. I stitched around the image using a zigzag stitch. The background paper is from Hot off the Press and I did a straight stitch around it. The green paper and ribbon are from my stash. The corner punches are from a Stampin' Up punch.
Love the water color effect - I hope you'll link up again this week at 52 Card Pickup!
