A Wedding Card

What a great weekend! Tiring, but great. Yesterday we did 28.3 km on the bicycles at Rondeau Park and today we had a great BBQ lunch at Wheatley Park and after reading for awhile we did about an hour's walk - the loop from the cliff side of the park, thru the campground, and then the road back to the cliff. We saw some beautiful herons, some turtles in a row on a log, some ducks and lots of birds and butterflies. Love being out in nature!

June is wedding month so I made a couple of wedding cards. Here's the first one.
The card base came from Paper Wishes. It has a lace and bead design on it so perfect for wedding and anniversary cards. I took a piece of off-white paper and stamped various hearts on it in cream ink, and inked the edges in cream too. Ribbon and lace was then wrapped around this paper and adhered to the base. One card like the base card was designated to be cut up to use on top of the heart paper, also with edges inked in cream. I used the remaining bits on another card so nothing was wasted. The wedding cake came from a package of stickers which I have no recollection of buying but thought I may as well use them up. The bow is from the shoe factory outlet. I like this cream coloured ink because it actually looks like soft gold.

  1. The card has a simple design yet looks amazing. Would like to see the other ones too. I also enjoy making cards and invites for events. My sister is getting married in a few months at one of the amazing wedding venues NYC. I’m currently helping her in designing the invitations for her wedding.
