A Merry Monday card on Saturday

I am attempting to make Christmas cards all year again which worked out very well for me last year. I was inspired by the blog www.alwaysplayingwithpaper.blogspot.ca who feature a Merry Monday challenge, which always include a Christmas image. I missed last week because of this blasted cold but I made one for this week.

This week they gave us a sketch to follow. The image is from Hot Off the Press from Paper Wishes - one of their small .99 stamps that come with 3 smaller stamps too. It was coloured with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol and I added gold Stickles to the stars and bells on his neck. The large embossed snowflake was from a Stampin' Up embossing folder that I just cut to size. Background paper is from the stash - yup, working on reducing that. I didn't have any baker's twine to match so I wrapped three strings of embroidery floss around it instead. Basically that is what baker's twine is but this is all one color. All dies were Spellbinders.
