This is going to be a long day – which may require a nap. I
woke up at 5:00 this morning and could not get back to sleep so I got up, had
breakfast, read the paper and it wasn’t even 6:30 yet. Needless to say I was a little tired by 10:00
but we went for a walk downtown anyway – about an hour and a half walk. Yup, I
just may lie down and rest the eyes for awhile. I normally cannot sleep during
the day but a rest will be good.
Today is Bellariffic Friday and she gave us a sketch to
follow this time. Here’s my card – and I used the sketch!
I decided to make mine into a Christmas card. The image is
from Stamping Bella , of course, and
I coloured it with Prismacolor markers and gamsol. Die cuts are Spellbinders.
Stamps for the sentiments are from Paper Wishes. Paper is from a pack from the
thrift store so likely not in stock anymore. I bought a huge pile of paper from
the thrift store last fall. The designer paper and wine coloured paper was 12” and I decided once I cut into
them, I may as well keep making Christmas cards with it instead of adding it to
the stash. I think I made at least 6 Christmas cards from 3 sheets of 12” paper
and the green was 8 ½ x11 and I think I used 1 ½ sheets. Love this image. This is the first time I’ve
coloured it up and I have a few cat people on my Christmas list so I guess I’ll
colour up a few more.
Cheers
Violet
those turned out great! Love the singing cats!
ReplyDeleteThose cats make me laugh! I can just imagine what kind of sounds they are making. What a score that you found your papers at a thrift shop; I'd love to find something like that. Great traditional red and green color combo. Thanks for playing with CSAYL.
