Wow, the hot humid weather is back in Ontario. This was grass cutting and flower watering day again and it was a hot one for sure! I did have some time after lunch and showers (yes, I needed another shower from just holding a hose to water the garden – told you it was hot) so I went down to the lower studio and made three cards. These will be posted another day as I don’t have them photographed yet.

Today’s card is a card I made with a piece of paper that had a booboo. I was able to salvage it and I really like the card too.

I was using up some paper that I bought at the thrift store and for some reason the person who donated it had cut off a corner of this one piece of paper. The rest of the paper was so pretty I hated to waste it. I decided to glue it to card base and then I cut a square of some cardstock that just happened to match the flowers in the paper, stamped and embossed a sentiment and a swirl and glued it over the hole. Then I took a bow and glued it to the corner of the stamped square and glued the ends over the edges and cut off the excess. Sometimes it pays to think of alternative ways to do things instead of giving up.

Off to a quilt guild meeting tonight. I always enjoy them.

Cheers

Violet
