A Bright and Cheery Card

The cold snap is upon us and we had some snow again last night. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen a winter as cold and snowy as this. So glad I have lots of hobbies because it’s too cold in the lower studio (aka the basement) but the upper studio where I sew and do bead work is toasty warm. The “Don’t Bug Me’ quilt is coming along nicely. It will be one of the raffle prizes at Rondeau Provincial Park this summer so I must get it done!

Today’s card is BRIGHT and CHEERFUL which will, hopefully, cheer someone up who is sick. Lots of flu and colds and even pneumonia going around right now but so far, Joe and I have escaped it all.

I took this bright purple-pink paper and ran it through an embossing folder and glued it to the white card base. The hexagon shapes were hand cut from a piece of cardstock and then glued across the middle. The pink label was die cut with a Spellbinder die and glued on top. The sentiment is a peel-and-stick that was added to a premade label which was added with dimensional glue dots. The butterfly was also hand cut from a piece of cardstock and added with glue dots. A quick but cheery looking card to brighten someone’s day.

Cheers

Violet
