Rainy Day Card Making

Well we did get the rain this afternoon and it’s still coming down. Sorry Deb in California (aka www.learningtojustbreathe.blogspot.com who is one of my faithful followers and a wonderful artist) I know you need the rain badly but it seems to be stuck here right now. Of course the atmospheric pressure is down which triggers off my brain disorders so I’m glad I didn’t have much to do today that had to get done. I finished off several cards in the lower studio this morning so that was good.

This card is one I made a couple of weeks ago. I had bought one of those mystery packs at the thrift store months ago and in it were a few cards and envelopes. The cards had three flaps and had the square cut out on the centre one. Then the first flap folded behind it to cover the middle layer and then you were left with a regular looking card. This is what I created with one of them.

The butterfly is a Common Buckeye and it posed nicely for a photo for me. I taped it to the back. The flower stamp is from Stampin’ Up and the sentiment is from a set I won so I’m not sure who made it.
I thought this card would be good for either a man or a woman.

This was such a quick card I decided to use up the rest of the cards in the same way but with different photos I had taken. Here they are:

This is a Cedar Waxwing.

I used a Tim Holtz stamp for this one just to be different.
This is an American Goldfinch.

That would be all for a rainy Wednesday.

Cheers

Violet
