We
are really in a deep freeze here in Ontario.
The temperature right now (7:00 pm) is -15C or 5F and with the wind chill it feels like -23F or -13F. Brrrrrrrr. Unfortunately we
have not had any snow so now there is nothing protecting the plants. Even the
farmers are worried about their winter wheat. I’m sure we will lose a few more
roses and perennials as well. I don't like much snow but I always like to have just a foot or so fall and stay until spring....seldom happens but that would be perfect. The communites east of us (the snow belt areas) got a couple feet of snow last night and today and with the wind there were white out conditions. The bad snow storms quite often misses us.
Today’s
card is another one for a witner birthday; but this time for a boy.
This
is another Magnolia image and coloured with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. All
the paper is once again from the never-going-down stash. The edges were all
inked with brown ink. I just don’t like white edges! Once the boy was coloured
I cut him out and inked those edges as well. Then I carefully made a slit by
his arm so that one hand would be behind the green rectangle so it would look
like he was sitting on it. The sentiment was computer generated. Pretty quick
and easy card once the colouring was done.
That’s
all for a cold Wednesday,
Cheers
Violet
