Good
news – the warmer weather is coming this weekend. Bad news – the warmer weather
is bringing more snow and freezing rain with it for both Saturday and Sunday.
We just can’t get a break in the weather at all! Thankfully February is a short
month and March will be here in 3 weeks! March can be brutal with snow and freezing
rain or it can be as mild as can be – but at least it doesn’t usually have
arctic temperatures.
The
plumber came today and installed the new bathroom shower fixtures. Now we just
have to remove the old wallpaper, paint and re-wallpaper and replace the floor.
We both hate construction and any disruptions to our usual routine but it has
to be done. No time frame on that happening though….but this was a start.
I
decided to take the morning off from quilting and finish that scrapbook layout
I started yesterday. Here it is:
I
pretty much followed the sketch but added my own touch as well. The snowflakes were die cut with Sizzix,
Spellbinders and Provocraft dies. The paper is from HOTP and Stampin’ Up (bit
behind the photos, the large snowflake and the arrow). It turned out okay and I
like it.
That’s
all for a Friday. Have a wonderful weekend everyone.
Cheers
Violet
Is there anyone who likes having construction done to thier home? I don't think so! But we all must go through it at some point! Your layout is awesome! I love all the different snowflakes on your page. Thanks for playing along with us at Scrapy Land Challenge #11!
ReplyDeleteHow cute, Violet! Love the sketch and the colors, and your use of the multi size snowflakes! I'm sorry the weather has been so icky for you - I feel for everyone trapped in the current weather pattern this year. Yikes! So glad you are having an opportunity to renovate your bathroom. It's a big job and not very enjoyable, but always WONDERFUL when it is all done.
ReplyDeleteI am your newest google follower, and look forward to seeing more of your creations!
Thanks for playing in the Scrapy Land Challenge using die cuts! I hope to see more of your pretty projects in the next challenge, too! hugs and blessings, de {Creative Smiles}
