I'm Back with a Card

I’m back! We had a delightful 5 days with the grandsons but I needed a couple of days to recuperate! Busy, busy boys which is what 8 and 10 year olds should be. They are still very polite and well-mannered so a pleasure to take anywhere. We received many compliments on their behaviour which is nice to hear but sad that they seem to be the minority in that department.

Here we are at the Ojibway Centre in Windsor.

Today’s card is another one I made with my new Stampin’ UP stamp set I picked up at the thrift store.

I love this dragonfly stamp and didn’t alter it like I did the butterfly stamp. For this card I made a brown square card base and used the left over bits to die cut the rectangle and fancy square using Spellbinder dies. The paper is all from the stash. I liked the orange rectangle but it looked blah so before gluing it to the brown strip I ran it through an embossing folder. Once the stamped image was dry, Distress Inks were gently sponged over the image and fancy glittery thread was tied around it before being glued down. This card was made as a sympathy card.

That’s all for a hot and humid Monday, August-31-15.

Cheers

Violet
