A Golfer's Card and some birds

This has been quite the month weather wise! It has been much colder than most May’s are and on Saturday we even had a few snow flakes! Snow in May during birding season should not be happening!!! Cities just a bit north of us actually had a lot more than just a few flakes too. We opted to stay home all weekend. Two long days in the house when we were looking forward to more walks in the park. On Saturday I decided to get some quilting done as I’m so far behind and I ran out of green thread Saturday mid afternoon and I couldn’t be bothered going out to get some. That was remedied today though and I’m back to quilting. That’s because we decided it was a bit warmer yesterday and we did some birding at Rondeau. Bird photos are posted at the end of this post so if you don’t have to see birds if you don’t want to.

Here’s today’s card.

This is an Art Impression stamp that I just love. It was once again coloured with Prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol. To keep the background simple (it’s a masculine card after all) I opted for a green background and a green striped hand cut banner behind the image which was die cut with a Spellbinder’s rectangle die. The “cheers” was die cut out of light green.

And now for the birds we’ve seen Friday and yesterday.

That’s all for a sunny but cool Tuesday,

Cheers

Violet
