Today’s
card is the second anniversary one I made for my friend. It’s probably my
favourite.
This time I started out with some blue paper from
my stash and chose the ink and embellishments to match. The image was stamped a few times in light
blue on white cardstock using a very old stamp from an Inkadinkado set but one
of my favourites! The butterfly stamp came with it too. Then it was run through
the Big Shot with the Swiss Dot embossing folder. I had to put it through
twice, lining up the dots to get it completely embossed because this is a 5 ½”
card and the stamped and embossed part is 5”. The ribbon is from my stash and
the bow was tied and glued on top. The little flowers were then glued on top
and a matching rhinestone was glued in the centre. I was so happy to find
matching rhinestones in my stash because they really popped against the white
flowers. The small X0 is a brad from HOTP. I bought a bag of mixed brads and
there were quite a few of these in silver but not a pretty silver so I covered
them with matching Stickles and set it aside to dry and then added it along the
ribbon. The top part was then glued to the light blue cardstock and then onto
the white card base.
There will be a third anniversary card still to be
posted.
That’s all for a cold, wet, rainy Tuesday,
Cheers
Violet
