Soccer Card

Just a couple of weeks ago we had some snow flurries, today it was hot and humid….at 7:00 tonight it was still 30C which is about 87F. We opted to go get a few groceries and buy our bedding plants after supper when it was a little less humid. The planting of the spring annuals is so much more fun than pulling them all out in the fall! I have about $175 worth of plants to plant tomorrow and I’m not sure that will fill all the spaces…..I hate bare spots in my garden. Joe does the required and typical male grumbling about spending so much on flowers….and then finds more plants he likes and adds them to the cart! Men are odd creatures sometimes.

Today’s card is another one of my favourites for young boys.

I’ve used this stamp about 8 or 10 times but always using different backgrounds so it looks different each time. It was coloured with my favourite colouring medium, Prismacolor pencils. All the paper is from the stash. The top light blue paper was sent through the Big Shot using the Cuttlebug Birthday embossing folder. The bottom darker blue was debossed with a different swirl embossing folder. Then they were taped together at the back and the plaid ribbon was wrapped around it. The image was mounted on the light green; both die cut with the Spellbinder’s square die. The large soccer ball is a stamp and once it was stamped it was die cut with a Spellbinder’s round die and is attached with dimensional adhesive. Stamps for boys is very limited so this one is very popular.

That’s all for a hot and humid Wednesday.

Cheers

Violet
