Well
that was about the most perfect weather one could ask for a long weekend. The
campers must have loved it! We had our usual BBQ and bike ride Saturday and BBQ
and relaxing time along the river on Sunday. Neither one of us slept well last
night - hate it when that happens – so we opted to just stay home today. Joe
did all the laundry and did some scrapbooking.
Here’s
another card from the Penny Black poppy stamp.
Because
I cut off that one lone flower on the far right, I can now stamp this to fit a smaller
card. This one is 4 x 5 ½”. Once again the poppies were stamped on water colour
paper and painted with Artist Loft shimmer paints. The background was
splattered with water while the paint was still wet to get that lovely texture.
I also stamped those small blue flowers in the background using a Stampin’ Up
stamp. The black ribbon was wrapped to the back and taped and then the gold
peel-off sentiment was added. I decided it needed something else so the
butterfly and twirl were added. Once it was glued to the black and then the
card base Stickles were spread on the flowers and left to dry. Once again, it looks
crooked but it’s not – it’s the camera’s fault….or the camera operator – nah,
must be the camera!
The Pinterest save button is back - to save a card to your own Pinterest account, just hover over it and a small 'save' button will appear on the top left corner. Click on that to go directly to your own Pinterest account - at least it's supposed to. If it doesn't, please let me know in the comments.

That’s
all for the last weekend of the summer. I know fall doesn’t officially start
until later in September but to us, this is the end of summer. So sad.
Cheers
Violet
