A Clean and Simple, but Shiny Card

Well the beautiful September weather has turned into hot and humid August weather again….and to be repeated for a couple more days yet. It feels close to 100F in the afternoon. We made quick trips to the library and fruit stand first thing this morning and back home before it got too hot. I went outside to fill the bird feeders about 2:00 and I could hardly breathe! This afternoon I did a little dusting and then went back to scrapbooking…..which is so much better than housework!

Today’s card is another new technique for me….and I liked it. It meets the requirements for these blog challenges:

The strip down the middle of the white panel was created by masking off the top and bottom with post-it notes; running the VersaMark pad over and over the area in between the post-it notes until it looked completely wet; and then Rangers Perfect Pearls were added to create this marbled affect. It is very shiny too. Then the masks were removed and the dragonflies were stamped (Inkadinkado) and the sentiment (no idea who made it). This was then glued to the white card base. A clean and simple but quite delightful card…if I do say so myself…and I just did.

Don’t forget you are more than welcome to save any cards to your Pinterest account for future reference. Simply place the curser over the picture until the Pinterest save sign shows up in the top left corner and enter. This will take you to your Pinterest account. If it doesn’t work, please leave a comment and let me know because the link has broken before. Thanks.

That’s all for a hot and humid Tuesday, 2016-09-06

Cheers

Violet

Its a self propelled push mower.. the riding mower is waiting for a part that takes two weeks to come in...uuughhhh.... Well i stopped the mower and went inside for a breather and a drink and i looked out the front window and the 4 fawns were sneaking up on my mower each trying to be the bravest...lol it was so cute! We have a few more days of uuuughhhh then we cool off again with a chance of rain... I have my fingers crossed that this is the last really hot spell of the year...
