More
seasonal cold, windy weather has returned along with a few snow flurries –
blah! We decided to take the day off today – so it’s been an easy, relaxing
day. For some strange reason neither one of us has been sleeping well for the
last week or so – especially me - and it’s
starting to catch up with me….but I still have the energy to make some cards!
When
I was looking through my green stash for something else I found this already
embossed and inked piece of cardstock. I have no idea what I was going to make
from it and why I didn’t finish it but I pulled it out and finished it. It is
now a card ready to send to someone.
It
looks like I used some yellow, green and some Dusty Concord Distress inks on it
so I just freshened it up a bit with the same colours and deepened the purple
colour. The purple ribbon was a nice contrast and it picked up the purple ink used.
The tag was die cut from a piece of green from the stash using an old Cuttlebug
die set. The sentiment is a peel-off. The flower and bird came from a K and
Company package that I found at the dollar store….which is not common but once
in while they have items from them and other major companies, including Martha
Stewart. I always take my time looking down their craft aisle because you never
know what could be hiding there. The flower and bird were adhered with dimensional tape. Anyway, once I liked the card front it was
glued to a black card base. I liked it so much I may find that embossing folder
and make another one.
That’s
all for a cold and windy Wednesday, 2017-01-04
Cheers
Violet
