This
has been a busy day! We ran some errands in the morning and did the lawn and
garden work in the afternoon. My sister’s computer was giving her some problems
so she dropped it off for me to fix for her….it just needed to have scans run
and I uninstalled some stuff she should not have had on there. Its working like
a charm now so she will be pleased.
Yesterday
we went to Rondeau again and we were lucky enough to see the very elusive
Prothonotary warbler. This beauty is a rarity, especially in Ontario but some have started to nest here
so that is good. The professional photographers will sit for over 8 hours in
one spot just to get a shot of this bird. Here are a couple of my favourites.
The card follows the birds.
And now the card.
I
took this photograph of the monarch butterfly and shrunk it down to fit on a
card and softened the edges….love Photoshop elements! I wanted to pick up on the
purple flowers around it so I chose a light and dark purple; die cut them with
the stitched edge die and then mounted them on some designer paper that had
hints of orange in to go with the butterfly. This was a quick and simple but
very nice sympathy card. It could have been a birthday card too but I needed a sympathy
card.
That’s
all for a sunny and warm…........finally no cold wind.........
