Monochromatic Blue Card

Did anyone see the eclipse today? We didn’t risk our eyes to see it and I’ll just watch it on video. I do remember seeing the one in 1962 and we all had to watch it with old photo negatives covering our eyes…..this is now not recommended! The next eclipse is in 2024 so maybe I’ll watch it – safely!

Hubby surprised me today by buying me a new IPad – an early birthday gift. Best husband ever. Here I am with it.

  

Today’s card is a blue monochromatic one I made about 2 weeks ago but never had a chance to post. I love how this card turned out.

Stamped the Poppy Power stamp in green ink – okay, not totally blue monochromatic but close – then I simply coloured it with pencils and blended with gamsol. The rectangles were die cut with old Spellbinder’s dies and then glued to the designer paper background. Before gluing it to a white card base, I wrapped dark blue sheer ribbon around the two corners. I may use this stamp and do the same thing but with different colours.
