The Corner Garden Stamp

More rain, snow and snow pellets today! In fact, it’s snowing again right now! We will enjoy a couple of rain and snow-free days and then back to more rain and snow. This winter cycle never seems to end!

Today’s card was made with the Stampin’ Up stamp called The Corner Garden…..I bought it last year so I have no idea if its still available or not.

When I first coloured this image, I wasn’t too happy with it. First of all it seemed to take a long time to colour but maybe it was just the mood I was in because lots of the cards I make take a ton of time to colour. Anyway, I finished it and flipped it into the “I must make a card out of this some day” pile. I did use the stamp as a background only on a card after that and thought that would be the only way I would use it. However, a couple of weeks ago I found the coloured image and decided to make it into a card. Now I love that stamp!

It was cut down to 4” x 5 ¼” to fit on the green card base – one of those ones from Michaels that come in a long box. I placed it in my Tim Holtz stamp positioner and stamped the sentiment.

Then Wink of Stella was added to the flowers and some gems in the centre of the blue ones; yellow Stickles to some of the others. Light blue chalk was sponged on around the edge of the flowers. I do believe I’m going to stamp this a few more times now!

        That’s all for a snowy Wednesday, January 24, 2018.

 Cheers

Violet
