Another sunny day but another cold wind keeps it
from feeling as warm as the temperature indicates….but at least there has not
been anymore snow for awhile. It’s been warm enough in the lower studio (aka
the basement) for me to sit down there and make some cards. I have a lot of
birthdays coming up soon and a lot of scrapbooking to complete so I was happy
to get down there!
This card is another free download from the
Internet.
Once again it was coloured with pencils and
blended with gamsol. The stitched rectangles are from an Elizabeth Crafts die
cutting set. As usual, I left it in the coloured image in the die as I sponged
on the blue so it left a white border. To hold the image in place so it doesn’t
move, I lay a piece of scratch paper on the Sizzix (also available through
Stampin’ Up) magnetic platform and then lay the image down. The magnetic plate
holds the die in place so it’s easy to sponge on background colour without
having to worry about the die moving. All the paper is from the stash. I love
purple and love putting various shades of purple together.
That’s all for a sunny but cool Wednesday, March
21, 2018.
Cheers
Violet
