I’m back with a card today. Yesterday I posted
some very beautiful and rare–to-see (at least in Ontario ) birds so feel free to scroll down
to see them.
This was yard work day today and it was HOT! We’ve
gone from a cold spring (I actually had to turn the furnace on Monday morning
long enough to get the chill out of the house – it was 61F) and today it was
close to A/C time…..but we are not complaining! Just stating a fact, it was hot
today.
Every once in awhile I tell myself, “You have
enough stamps and dies and paper. Do not buy anymore!” Sometimes I agree with
myself for several weeks but then I see a stamp on sale and I override my
earlier decision and buy it. This was one of those stamps – it’s a Penny Black
stamp and it was on sale at our local scrapbook store, the Paper Pickle. I had
to have it!
Don’t you just love it! So darn cute! It was quick
to colour up as well. It was coloured with pencils and blended with gamsol. The
background was chalked – even quicker. Because the bicycle was blue it was then
mounted on bright blue cardstock. The background paper is from a 6” paper pack
I cut down to 5 ½”. Before gluing the coloured image on, I wrapped a piece of
shiny blue ribbon down the left side. Then I covered each cupcake with Glossy
Accents. Pink Pearl Stickles were added to the cherries.
That’s all for a hot and lovely Wednesday, May 23,
2018.
Cheers
Violet
Don’t forget you are more than welcome
to save any cards or other items I post to your Pinterest account for future
reference.
Simply place the curser over the picture until the Pinterest save sign shows up
in the top left corner and enter. This will take you to your Pinterest account.
If it doesn’t work, please leave a comment and let me know so I fix it. Thanks.
Hi Violet!
ReplyDeletei did browse through your incredible bird photos yesterda but did not stop to comment.. Yesterday was baby watch day... I'm not allowed to speak of her on the blog BUT i'am not on my blog now am i?? lol My daughter had her first child last night! If you email me i'll give you the particulars.. :)
I love this stamp. Your right 'So darn cute!' And i LOVE how you colored it up.... I just moved all my stamps in the craft room... They were getting neglected... Most of my paper crafting has been neglected as i'm buried in other projects.. But i put them closer to hand so maybe they will get used more.. :)Hugs! deb
