We’ve had two beautiful days in a row here in Southern Ontario with temperatures between 68F – 75F with
a light breeze blowing. Love it, love it, love it. We are definitely summer
people; not winter people at all. Yesterday we bought the garden flowers and I
planted them all- but we didn’t buy quite enough so today we back to the
nursery and bought some more. I waited until after 4:00 to plant them so they
weren’t planted in the hottest part of the day. The garden looks lovely.
Today’s card is another one from an Art Impression
stamp.
This is from the Golden Oldie section and it was
fun to colour. Once again I used coloured pencils and blended them with gamsol.
The sky and grass is chalk. I had that piece of dark blue in the stash and it
was the same size as the image so I just used the Spellbinder deckle edge die
to cut the image down a bit and glued it on. I like the dark blue behind the
light image. The background is more scraps from the stash bin and once it was
all assembled it was glued to the card base. The sentiment was a silver
peel-off that I sponged with alcohol inks to turn dark blue.
That’s all for a lovely summer Friday, May 25,
2018. Have a wonderful weekend everyone. I’ll be back on Monday with another card.
Cheers
Violet
