We’re having a pretty nice day today but, as
usual, chance of a thunderstorm today and every day until next Thursday. The
heat and humidity are coming closer too and it could feel like 112F on Sunday….we’ll
be staying inside!
Today’s card is another quilt block card. This die
set is very nice but each block is very small….2” finished. There are three
dies in the set.
Because
the dies are so small I decided to die cut all of them, and one of them twice,
so they fit nicely on this 5.5” square card. These square cards do not cost
extra to mail in Canada
so I use them frequently. This time only two colours were used for the dies –
one solid colour, one patterned one. The two on the right are the same die but
with the inset pieces placed in the opposite die…makes it look like a
completely different pattern….this happens with fabric too. This time I glued
the blocks onto some co-ordinating polka dot paper; then on white cardstock and
then on the same polka dot paper. It
still needed something else so I added large gems to the centres of each block.
The sentiment is a silver peel-off.
That’s all for a lovely Friday on August 16, 2019.
I’ll be back on Monday with another post. Hope you all have a safe and happy
weekend filled with nothing but love and sunshine.
Cheers
Violet
