Ahhh, the high humidity has left us for a few days and its beautiful outside. We never did get the predicted thunderstorms and pounding rain but we did get a bit of rain so that helped the garden. Some areas were not as lucky as us though!
I recently bought this die from Aliexpress and wasn’t quite sure how to use it but this is what I came up with.
The background are various Distress Oxide Inks blended together…I only have 4 or 5 Oxide inks. I read where people say they are so rich and creamy…well a couple of mine are, but the rest are no more creamy than the Distress Inks….not sure if they are supposed to be that way or I just was unlucky enough to pick out duds. Anyway, I cut the sponged background down to 4” x 5.25” to fit on the standard 4.25” x 5.5” card base. Then I glued the die cut on top. The sentiment is a peel-off. I’m running out of these and the store where I bought them is closed…not happy about that.
Another finished card was placed on top and when I
picked it up a couple days later, they were lightly stuck together. Apparently
when I glued the back of the die some of the die leaked out to the top. I think
I used the Tombow glue which acts like a temporary glue if left without anything
stuck to it and it was staying sticky. I left it out in the open to die
overnight; still sticky. Mmmm what to do. I know, pour on some clear glitter.
The glitter stuck to the glue and gave a nice shimmer. Whew!
That’s all for a beautiful summer day on August 15, 2019.
Cheers
Violet
