A Spring Card

Winter has arrived full force now…cold and lots of snowing coming this weekend....but then turning to rain and then back to snow – ugly weather. I should get a lot of cards made or quilting done this weekend as we don’t venture out in bad weather.

Sometimes I need to stamp and colour images just to brighten my day and this stamp does just that. It’s a Power Poppy stamp set and I love colouring it.

I love flowers so this was enjoyable and relaxing to colour. It was coloured with pencils and blended with gamsol. Then I decided to die cut it with a Spellbinder’s large scalloped circle and then another blue layer from the next size die up. It was then mounted on a blue card base. Wink of Stella was added to the flowers as well – just to give them some shimmer. The sentiment and fancy bit underneath are peel-offs.

That’s all for a cold and windy Friday, January-17-20. Have a wonderful and safe weekend everyone and if you are out and about, try smiling and nodding at a stranger….they will either smile back….. or spend the rest of the day wondering where in the world they know you from!

Cheers

Violet
