Using 3D stickers

We really got a taste of winter weather over the weekend starting with several inches of heavy wet snow on Saturday. Our neighbour uses his snow blower to clear our driveway and it was all he could do to clear it….we paid him extra and he was grateful. Then we had some rain which made everything slippery and then Sunday it was periods of snow showers….and these continued all Sunday night – oh, and it was -16C (3F) with the wind chill added in. Okay, we’ve had winter, let’s move on to spring now.

Last week I stopped into the Dollar Tree and happened to notice some 3D stickers that were not in the crafting aisle but in with colouring books and things. They were so pretty I took a couple packages down for a better look and thought to myself that they would look nice on cards. I never use stickers on cards but these were really nice so I bought a couple. Here is one card I made using them.

The background paper is from a 6” paper pack cut down to the standard card size. I made the card base from some light green cardstock and used a second piece for the die cut stitched hexagon and banner. The watering can is flat but the flowers are all popped up….its prettier in real life. The birthday sentiment was stamped. This was a quick card to make but I liked how it turned out.

That’s all for a very cold Monday, January 20, 2020.

Cheers

Violet

PS: To save a card to your Pinterest account, simply hover over the image until the ‘Pin It” symbol appears and then click…it sometimes take a few seconds. This will take you to your own Pinterest account to save the card.
