A Birthday Card for someone turning 100!

Well we did get snow but not buried in it like we thought we might be. Overnight Wednesday we got just over an inch of snow and then about the same last night. Some areas north and east of here got a lot more than we did though. It quite often misses us…..or at least skirts around us so we don’t get the worst of it.
On Facebook last week a family member posted a request for birthday cards for a veteran that is turning 100! I couldn’t say no to that request so here is the card I made for him.

The paper is two pieces from a 6” paper pack from Simple Stories cut down to 5 ¼” and glued to a 5 12” card base. I liked half of each page so I just cut them in half; taped  together the two pieces I liked best and added that cut off strip from another page from the same pack across the seam. The old car and the sentiments were all die cut – the bottom ones twice and glued together. There was some left over paper with peel-off adhesive on the back from cutting the top sentiment so I die cut some stars and added them. Hope he likes it. If you would like to send him a card – doesn’t have to be handmade – send it to:
Mr. Fred Arsenault
9 Kenmore Ave
Toronto, ON  M1K 1B3
Wouldn’t he be surprised and delighted to get cards from all over Canada and even the world.
That’s all for a snowy Friday, February-07-2020. Have a wonderful weekend – stay safe and healthy, be creative and enjoy just being alive.
Cheers
Violet
