Happy rainy Monday! Apparently we are in for a lot of rainy days for the rest of October. I’ve been under attack from my two rare brain disorders all week but finally on Thursday I was well enough to get down to the lower studio (aka the basement) to make a few cards. I’ve started on my Christmas cards…anyone else started yet? I’ll be posting these as I get them photographed.
Today I’m posting a card I made to send to my brother that is
in the hospital.
I was looking for some inspiration for a masculine card and pulled out this feather embossing folder. I ran some white cardstock through it and decided it would do as long as I added some colour over the top to hi-lite the feathers. A Kraft card base was nearby so I went with brown ink over the feathers and around the edges. Once it was glued to the card base I just had to attach a sentiment….but when I saw the card on the computer I could see where the top was a bit too long so it has been cut down even with the card. I liked the thinking of you peel-offs but they were either silver or gold and I didn’t like either one for this card so I went over a silver one with a brown alcohol marker which made it more of a copper colour but I decided it was okay and used it. This has to be one of the quickest cards I’ve ever made but I liked it. My brother called me yesterday to tell me how much he liked it as well so that was nice.
That’s all for a rainy Monday, October-19-20 20.
Cheers
Violet

card to your Pinterest account, simply hover over the image until the ‘Pin It”
symbol appears and then click…it sometimes take a few seconds. This will take
you to your own Pinterest account to save the card.
I made a couple Halloween PostCards Violet... that was fun... I'll post them on the blog soon.. Rainy and cool here too.. Lovin' it! Just love your feather card. So nice when someone you send a card to takes the time to tell you how much they enjoyed it. Beautiful! Hugs! deb
