That was a very short autumn and we are back to spring-like temperatures. This too will be short lived and we will soon be back to autumn again but we are certainly enjoying this weather right now. This Monday is our Canadian Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for in spite of being worried about the pandemic. Our city only has 3 active cases of COVID-19 but the large urban areas, like Toronto, are sending out provincial numbers soaring. Darn young people who refuse to accept how serious this and go out partying.
Today’s card is
yet another one layer card using more of those wine/brownish strips.
There was one very wide strip
and others in various other widths so I chose the wide one and two that were
the same width and then cut all three down to the same length. They were
adhered to the card front – this time a pink card instead of mauve like
Wednesday’s card. Then the 3-D bird and flowers sticker was glued in place. I
found a sentiment I liked and stamped it in dark pink on a light pink piece of
cardstock and cut the end off on an angle and attached it with a dimensional
glue strip. Then more 3-D flower stickers were attached. Instead of using the
gold liquid pearls that were used on Wednesday’s card, I used some left over
gold peel-offs.
That’s
all for Friday, October 9, 2020. Here’s wishing everyone a wonderful, safe and
creative weekend and if you are Canadian, have a thankful Thanksgiving weekend.
Cheers
Violet
