Flower Card

We did not get as much snow as predicted which I appreciated! Areas around us got much more than we did. Chatham is known as the “banana belt” because we get much less snow than the areas closer to the Great Lakes…we are sort of in the middle so a lot of the snow goes around us. It seems to miss us a lot of the time – good when its snow; not so good when we need the rain!

I finally was able to get down to the lower studio (aka the basement) to get some cards made. Here’s one of them.

The paper is from a 6” paper pack. I had some strips left over from other projects so I glued them to piece of scrap paper and then added that larger bottom piece. The fancy label (Spellbinders) was die cut from another piece from the same pack and glued over some of the strips. The tag on that fancy label is also from this same paper pack and a gold peel-off sentiment was added. I had some of those blue flowers in the flower stash but they had a huge bulge (okay it was supposed to be the middle of the flower but it was ugly) in the middle which I just didn’t like so I never used them. Then I decided to see if I could remove the middle bit. I gave it a good tug and it came out. Then the flower looked pretty good except for the hole in the centre. A nice ornament bead was glued in place and then the flower was glued on. I do believe the rest of the flowers in that package will suffer the same fate!

         That’s all for Wednesday, January 27, 2021.

Cheers

Violet
